Peace Love and Safety Mask and Charity Drive started as a neighborhood campaign to give away free masks, and has grown now into a multi-state effort to supply masks to anyone who needs them, including underserved communities, Native American Tribes, and the homeless.
In spring of 2020, we got tired of listening to everyone bitch and argue about masks, and decided to take positive action to encourage and enable mask-wearing. Using $150 of our own money, we invested in masks and hand sanitizer, came up with a logo and a GoFundme, and started asking the community to help. People came from all walks of life needing masks. Neighbors and businesses donated masks, hand sanitizer and funding.
In late Summer, we were approached asking to supply a Native American community in need, and with an AMAZING apparel manufacturer Bella + Canvas we started distributing 50,000 masks to as many tribes as we could help. We decided to take it to the next level by seeking a corporate sponsor for hand sanitizer, and donations of food, water and clothing for the tribes who needed them. Off we went, with our masks and warm coats for kids and as much food as we can muster.
Today it grows and grows. Neighbors, groups, businesses and organizations help us help others. It's as simple as that. Everyone can help, by sharing our story, donating, volunteering and even helping with media or whatever talent or time they have. And those people have made this community drive SO SUCCESSFUL in helping others.
No BS, just helping as much and as many with as much giving as we can.
Our Volunteers, the neighbors and groups and businesses that support us are the COOLEST PEOPLE EVER and they have done SO MUCH GOOD in the world.
It's really amazing how each person and each entity brings their help to others.
Would you like to be a part of that?
We'd love that!
